In reply to Bette Thomas. I have a Yorkie. We are having a terrible time in training him for his bathroom habits. He is 3 years old. Can you give us advise on how to handle this problem. My husband still thinks he will do it on his own. I mean no he will not. He goes everywhere. We love this little guy so much, and would never, never hurt or be mean to him. Thank you.

I have a Jack Russell that we rescued when she was 9 years old and have had her 10 years! That makes her 19. She still runs and jumps and plays like she’s much younger. She does get tired easier and then takes a nap. But, when she’s up she’s on the go!

I totally agree with you I had to do the same thing with my boy it was so scar up im scaryed to take him into petco petsmart store like that cause I don't want them to thing I did those things to him cause I would never do that we were both broken when we met at shelter and in 3 years we have mend and being to trust again together.

Great post! I never considered how important the type of rock could be for my dog’s comfort and safety. The suggestions are super helpful, especially the tips on drainage. I’m definitely going to look into pea gravel for my backyard run!

We have a rescued bait dog also. When we got her a friend told us that we had been too late and she was too far gone. I lifted her little head and kissed her on top of it and said,” I will love her back to happy…”. Fast forward 3 years… ole girl runs this house, do you hear me? She knows how good she’s got it and she doesn’t want anybody messing up her good thing. I love her so much.
